Our Story

Moore’s Floors, Inc. has been providing Quincy and the surrounding Illinois areas with exceptional flooring products and solutions since opening our doors in 1984. Owner Mike Moore had over 10 years in the industry before deciding to create a retail space of his own. After 7 years in business, Mike and his team began to concentrate on commercial projects as well as our retail operations. During that time, Moore’s Floors, Inc. has been a trusted name in commercial flooring since 1985, built on decades of experience, craftsmanship, and a commitment to doing the job right. What began as a small remnant flooring business founded by Mike Moore has grown into a leading commercial flooring contractor serving Quincy, IL, and the greater Tri-State area. From its earliest days, Moore’s Floors has focused on quality products, dependable service, and long-term customer relationships.

In 1985, Mike Moore launched his first flooring venture selling remnants, quickly recognizing a growing demand. By 1986, the business expanded into a larger location, allowing for increased inventory and broader service capabilities. Continued growth led to a major milestone in 1992, when Mr. Moore constructed a larger facility on the east end of town to support both residential and commercial flooring projects. This expansion marked Moore’s Floors as a serious player in the regional flooring industry. In 2004, the company refined its focus by selling the residential portion of the business, becoming a strictly commercial flooring contractor—a strategic move that allowed the company to deepen its expertise and specialize in complex commercial projects.

Another important chapter began in 2012 when Eric Graham joined the company as a partner, bringing additional leadership, industry insight, and forward-thinking vision. In 2014, Moore’s Floors relocated to its current home in the Schneidman Industrial Park, a move that positioned the company for continued growth and improved service capabilities. Today, Moore’s Floors, Inc. operates with the same core values it was founded on: extensive knowledge, professionalism, and superior customer service.
